Programme Goal

To support the devleopment and transfer of commerically viable and sustainable vegetable and herb production using adapted protected agriculture (PA) systems suitable for the Caribbean and so improve smallholder livelihoods, food security, traceablility, yields and trade of regional food production.

Measures of Goal Achievement

A sizeable increase in production of marketable and profitable selected vegetables and herbs products using PA. Increase sales of fresh vegetables and herbs produced using PA. Incomes of producers and other sector stakeholders increased. Increasing numbers of farmers, producer groups and clusters participating in PA production.

Means of Verification

Trade, production and marketing data showing increased and profitable PA production and trade of selected vegetable and herb products.
