3rd Annual IICA/CARDI Media Awards for Excellence in Agricultural Journalism

The IICA/CARDI Media Awards for Excellence in Agricultural Journalism 2011-2012 is being held for the third year under the theme: ‘Sustainable Agriculture – Sustainable Society’. The competition covers work published and/or aired between April 01, 2011 – March 31, 2012.

Target: Full time and freelance journalists working with daily newspapers, radio and television and covering agricultural issues on a regular basis.

Citizen Journalist: targeting young people between the ages 12-18 and from 18-27 years

The competition also has an IICA/CARDI Special Award to Citizen Journalist category. This award has been created to encourage youth participation in representing agriculture creatively in arts and culture or in essays to reflect sustainability in the sector. This can be published or recorded material or new material specifically created for this competition.

There are two prizes in this category targeting young people between the ages 12-18 and from 18-27 years.
