New Human Resource Co-ordinator joins CARDI

The Executive Director of CARDI, Dr Arlington Chesney, on Monday 14 April, welcomed the new Human Resource Development Co-ordinator, Ms. Margo Malcolm, at the Institute’s Headquarters, Trinidad and Tobago.

Ms. Malcolm has over ten years experience in the field of Human Resources (HR), nine of which have been spent at CAREC in its HR Department, firstly as HR Co-ordinator for Personnel Administration and then as HR Co-ordinator for Training and Development.

“One of the top priorities for HRD is to ensure staff development is in line with the strategic objectives of the Institute”, declared Ms. Malcolm. “This will be achieved through, employee training, employee career development, performance management and development, succession planning, tuition assistance and organisation development.”

She added, all aspects of HRD are critical for the development of a superior workforce whereby management and staff of the Institute can increase the delivery of service to its stakeholders and clients in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

Ms. Malcolm holds a Masters of Science in International Relations, and at present, pursuing a second MSc in Aviation Management at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus.
