CARDI team at CFCS 56th Annual Meeting, July 2023, Grenada

CARDIcaribbean recently presented on some of the latest research work conducted across the Institute at CARIBBEAN FOOD CROPS SOCIETY meeting currently taking place in Grenada.
The CFCS continues to provide an opportunity for researchers and farmers etc to exchange information on research and technology and to seek solutions for challenges that limit the production, processing and marketing of food in the Caribbean basin.
The CARDI team presented papers/posters on:
◾Coconut cockle (𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙚𝙪𝙨)- Biology, management, current state and future prospects – Jhaman Kundun, CARDI Guyana
◾Diversification of root and tuber crops in Jamaica using Shannon Index – Videsh Jagroo, Shakeel Ali, Annika Minott and Lisa James (CARDI)
◾Synergist with a Rhyncholure pheromone funnel trap design for increased trapping of the South American Palm Weevil – Fayaz Shah (CARDI), Amel Baksh (MALF) and Videsh Jagroo (CARDI).
