The Caribbean Science and Agriculture Film and Video Competition 2010 is sponsored by the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation – ACP/EU (CTA) in collaboration with the Caribbean Council for Science and Technology (CCST), the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI), and the University of the West Indies (UWI).

The winning film or video pieces are expected to contribute to increasing public awareness and engagement in science, technology and innovation for overcoming the challenges facing Caribbean agricultural and rural development, and encouraging young professionals to consider training and careers in science and agriculture

Target Group: Young professionals ages 18-35 years – whether working or undergraduate or graduate students in the fields of agriculture, agri-business, rural or economic development, natural or earth sciences, engineering, or communication in the Caribbean. Participating countries are limited to Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Suriname.

31 October 2010: Registration Forms and Concept Note Deadline for Submission

December 2010: Training Workshop

March 2011: deadline for submissions of films / videos & Judging of films & videos

July 2011: Awards ceremony
