Description: The workshop is part of component 2 of the Intra-ACP Agricultural Policy Programme (Intra-ACP APP) entitled โ€œImproving transfer and adoption of applied agricultural Production/processing research results/technologies and where appropriate, generate new technologies for target commoditiesโ€.

Organizers: CARDI / Division of Agriculture, Marine Affairs, Marketing and the Environment (DAMME), Tobago House of Assembly / Sugarcane Feeds Centre (SFC), Ministry of Agriculture, Lands and Fisheries, Trinidad and Tobago.

-Expected Derived Benefits of Butchering in relation to carcass quality;

-Importance of Animal Transportation, Resting, Lairage & Proper Stunning;

-Personal Hygiene Codes of Conduct for Abattoir Workers and Personnel;

-Slaughter;

-Demonstration of proper procedures for small ruminant slaughter;

-Refinement of Hides and Horn; and

-Meat Fabrication.
