The Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) is one of the foremost organisations dedicated to conducting research and development that seeks to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of the regional agricultural. The Institute was established in 1974 by the governments of 12 member states of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). It is headquartered in Trinidad and Tobago and now has representation in 14 countries.
