On the third day of their official visit to The Bahamas, the CARDI delegation had the pleasure of being hosted by the Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI) at its North Andros Campus.

The delegation was warmly received by BAMSI Executive Chairman Mr. Cerone Dean and President Dr. Raveenia Hanna.

The visit provided a timely platform to reinforce the long-standing partnership between CARDI and BAMSI, with a tour of the campus facilities and ongoing instructional and research programs that support agricultural workforce training in The Bahamas.

Strategic Priorities & Future Collaboration:
– Capacity Building: Fostering student engagement, practical field training, and workforce development for young agricultural professionals.
– Joint Innovation: Collaborating on climate-smart agriculture, sustainable land management, and technology transfer.
– Regional Impact: Linking academic research directly to real-world solutions that improve national and regional food and nutrition security.

Both institutions look forward to expanding their joint initiatives to advance agricultural resilience, innovation, and youth empowerment throughout The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.
